Army Worms in Wheat

Army Worms in Wheat

Last Friday I saw a field in southern Grant county that had an infestation of Army worms in fairly mature wheat.  They had not started clipping heads............yet, but are well worth watching as two worms per foot row is the economic threshold if they are clipping heads.

This may be an isolated infestation and not widespread, (none of my cohorts report any yet) but it may be the start of something. Just have to watch.......and check your fields.
