Might be there be some Mites

Found winter grain mites in a field of  wheat in northern Garfield county yesterday.   Some of the wheat that has browned down in spots in our area(s) is probably due to excessive early growth ( double drilled, turn rows with anhydrous left on etc.) and then burnt down by the cold.  Mite damage will look gray and then go to brown, it will look dried out (parched). See the picture.  First time they have showed up since last fall.  I'm sure they are getting ahead of the wheat due to dry conditions. We need a good driving inch rain to drown them but until then, if they are as bad as this picture, producers may have to put  insecticide on them.
